It was a swallow's leg(not a sparrow's wing) that Heungboo and Nolboo had fixed. The swallow flying in to one's house has always been a symbol of good luck for the Korean culture(though I'm not sure if it is because of this story ; symbol of bad luck are crows).
And about the characters, I think eventhough Nolboo was the bad guy he stands for the "wealthy image" of Korean old stories, and at the end, he regretted it and changed to be a good guy. And a retaurant's image must be "wealthy" instead of "poor" becuase it represents their food service.
I think that's why he was chosen to be the main character of the restaurants. For the Koreans it will be awkward if the main character was Heungboo, because he is still standing for his "poor but benevolent" image. (I don't know if i'm right, I'm just saying this because I didn't understand the quotation from the corporate's website,.. eventhough I'm Korean and I'm not fluent in english either)Johanoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1125128490848394328.post-83820377259123381062009-07-07T09:20:43.473+09:002009-07-07T09:20:43.473+09:00cool!
